Dominant Releases New High Brightness AlInGaP LEDs

September 7, 2010... LED and SMT manufacturer, Dominant Opto Technologies, has released new DWx-PKG and DWx-PJG AlInGaP Power DomiLED series. The high brightness Power DomiLED series replaces the present generation of AlInGaP DWx devices and complete the company’s product portfolio of medium-power LED product line.

The AlInGaP Power DomiLED devices are suitable for space-constrained applications including signage and channel lighting. The LEDs can also be used for automotive exterior lighting applications.
The DWx-PKG Power DomiLEDs are resistant to sulfur corrosion. They offer a luminous intensity of 3,200 mcd and 8.5 lm for yellow, 3,000 mcd and 8.0 lm for amber, and 2,600 mcd and 7.2 lm for red. The LED operates at 50 mA current.

The LEDs’ silicone encapsulation and the housing’s low thermal resistance extend the life of the product. The LED devices are available in PLCC-4 packages.
