August 25, 2010... Wavien, developer of advanced light sources for lighting and projection industries, has introduced a new, advanced LED-based graphic projector system featuring the patented LED light recycling technology. The miniature graphic projector generates more than 1,000 lm and is suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications.

The graphic projector uses a single Luminus’ 50 W white LED. It also utilizes consumer camera lenses to project images that have diameters of about 25 mm. The camera lens decreases the overall system expenditure and enables easy operation with high-resolution images. The projector consumes minimum power and enables easy battery operations.

Wavien’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kenneth Li stated that the company’s LED light recycling technology provides superior brightness by recovering and reprocessing the LED light, which is usually wasted with conventional LED systems. He added that the LED products have exceptional design, which increases the brightness to more than 80%.

High–brightness level is obtained by adding a reflector to conventional LED systems. The opening’s diameter determines the recycling amount and the reflector size can be scaled to meet individual requirements.
