August 17, 2010... Luminus Devices of Billerica, Massachusetts has again licensed its big-chip PhlatLight LED technology. This time, Luminus reports that it has signed an agreement with Epistar to manufacture LEDs on the PhlatLight platform.

Luminus points out that the agreement with Epistar is its third individual licensing agreement to other LED companies. Luminus contends that the licensing demonstrates that LEDs constructed using its PhlatLight technology platform offer unparalleled levels of brightness and reliability. Luminus’ strong patent portfolio now reportedly contains more than 40 issued patents and 100 more patent applications.
