Multimedia Farms Selects Barco for Portable LED Display Solutions

August 3, 2010... Barco of Santa Clara, California, announced that Multimedia Farms, also doing business as LED Display Rentals, has acquired its C11 LED indoor/outdoor display for use in the company’s LED rental and staging business. The deal was signed at InfoComm 2010, held in Las Vegas, June 9-11. Barco says its C11 surface-mounted LED tile is an indoor/outdoor solution for both rental and permanent installations. It features 11mm pixel pitch and 5,000 nits for superior brightness.

Barco contends that it is the industry’s first truly environmentally friendly display, consuming a fraction of the power and generating much less heat than other LED displays. It has been tested to Mil-Spec 810F standards and can withstand challenging environments. According to the company, the display features a fanless IP66 enclosure, making it absolutely waterproof. Barco claims that he display's use of surface mount diode (SMD) technology reportedly allows viewers to get extremely close to the screen and still perceive a relatively high-resolution image.
