Apple Introduces 27-Inch LED Backlit Cinema Display

July 30, 2010... Apple has introduced a a 27-inch LED-backlit Cinema Display. It offers 2560 x 1440 resolution, a built-in iSight camera, microphone and speakers, USB 2.0 ports, and it comes with with Apple’s universal MagSafe connector.

According to Apple, the new Cinema Display has a 16:9 aspect ratio and edge-to-edge glass. The company says that it outputs vivid colors and exceptionally high contrast even at ultra wide 178 degree viewing angle, thanks to the Apple’s in-plane switching (IPS) technology. Apple notes that the LED-based Cinema Display is the ideal companion for the MacBook family or Mac desktop. It sells for $999.
